Deputy Principal - Senior Secondary (Pathways and Engagement)
One of the best parts of my job is getting to see the progress every
student makes as well as seeing and hear where our past students
end up. This week I was fortunate enough to be invited to speak
at our local TAFE Graduation and help present the graduation
certificates to students who completed their Vocational Education
and Training Qualifications over the course of last year. Some of
these students are our current Year 11 students who completed
certificate courses at TAFE one day a week last year, while others are
our 2023 Year 12 students who completed Certificate 2 & 3 courses
or Apprenticeships and Traineeships whilst also completing Year 12.
It was incredibly positive to see that so many of these graduates are
now in full time employment or are continuing their studies.
Personally, I cannot think of a better example of our School Vision in
practice than these courses, opportunities and these students.
We Believe that every child can succeed; We Challenge each other to
be our best every day; and We Strive for individualised pathways for
every child.
